Young Farmers’ Clubs of Ulster, Northern Ireland’s largest rural youth organisation, is proud to announce long-term partner Power NI, as anew platinum sponsor in a three-year sponsorship plan.
Power NI, Northern Ireland’s leading energy supplier, has supported YFCU for the last decade, providing much-needed funding through the sponsorship of many events and programmes. As a Platinum Sponsor for 2021-2024, Power NI will become YFCU’s new Sustainability Partner, as well as key sponsor for prominent events in the rural youth calendar including the Floral Art and Choir competitions, the Agri-Food Conference, and continuing sponsor of the popular Club of the Year competition.
This latest partnership announcement follows a year of Power NI as YFCU’s COVID-19 Community Partner in 2020/2021 which saw the energy supplier providing small grants to many Young Farmers’ Clubs. Clubs used the funding to provide support in their rural communities including delivering food parcels to the elderly and vulnerable, as well as organising local outdoor activities and events to help bring people back together once lockdown ended.
Commenting on the platinum sponsorship, Amy Bennington, Commercial Marketing Manager for Power NI said “For the last decade, Power NI has been a proud supporter of various YFCU projects and we’re now glad to announce our new Platinum Sponsorship for 2021-2024. We’ve been a long-time supporter of the Club of the Year competition and more recently as both 90th Anniversary Partner and the YFCU Covid19 Community Partner.
“We’re delighted to continue our support as YFCU’s new sustainability partner, and we look forward to helping the organisation promote and encourage environmentally sustainable farming practice to its members.”
Commenting on the platinum sponsorship, Peter Alexander, YFCU President, said “Power NI has been a long-standing partner of the organisation and it’s exciting that they have come onboard as new platinum sponsor of the organisation. Power NI has been a long-term supporter of many YFCU events over the last 10 years and we look forward to their help in promoting environmental sustainability to all our members.”
