YFCU Members Selected to Represent Northern Ireland at European Rally 2026

Four members of the Young Farmers' Clubs of Ulster (YFCU) have been selected to represent Northern Ireland, at the Rural Youth Europe European Rally 2026, taking place in Switzerland this August.

Representing YFCU at this year's European Rally are Adrianna Coulter from Straid YFC, Jack Hunter from Moneymore YFC, Rebecca Cromie from Rathfriland YFC and Sophie Hawthrone from Collone YFC.

The group will be accompanied by YFCU President, Kristina Fleming as they join delegates from across Europe for a week of learning, networking and cultural exchange.

The European Rally will take place from 15^th – 22^nd August 2026 in Landquart, Switzerland, bringing together young people from rural communities across the continent. Under the theme “Leadership in the Age of AI”, the programme will empower young people to critically engage with AI, understand its impact on society, and explore how it can be used responsibly to strengthen rural communities. Participants will gain the skills and confidence needed to take on leadership roles and actively shape the future of their communities in an increasingly digital world. 

Throughout the week, delegates will participate in a wide range of interactive workshops, team-building activities and cultural experiences designed to develop leadership skills, encourage international collaboration and inspire innovative thinking. The experience provides an opportunity for young rural leaders to exchange ideas, build lasting friendships and return home with fresh perspectives to benefit their clubs and local communities.
