The Young Farmers’ Clubs of Ulster (YFCU) held their Annual General Meeting on Saturday 25th April 2026 in the Silverbirch Hotel, Omagh. This event, in association with Lakeland Dairies, recognised the success and outstanding achievements of members across the province.

From Friday 24th to Sunday 26th April 2026, members from across Northern Ireland gathered at the Silverbirch Hotel for the Annual General Meeting of YFCU. Proudly sponsored by Lakeland Dairies, the weekend was a celebration of shared values, club achievements, and the exciting future of the organisation.

The event opened on the Friday evening with the President’s dinner, hosted by Richard Beattie. Following the formalities, the celebrations continued with a “I dressed for the wrong event” themed disco, hosted by County Tyrone YFC, setting a fun tone for the weekend ahead.

Saturday morning saw the much anticipated Club Of The Year presentations take place, sponsored by Power NI. The top five clubs that got through to the final were Randalstown YFC, Garvagh YFC, Moycraig YFC, Collone YFC and Curragh YFC. Each club showcased their unique strengths, community impact, and member development efforts. With the bar set high, anticipation built throughout the day for the final results, which were revealed during the awards ceremony.

The AGM was officially opened by YFCU President Richard Beattie, who then welcomed Eamon Duignan from Lakeland Dairies to the stage as he shared a few words on the company’s continued support for rural youth initiatives. Honorary Treasurer Harry Crosby presented the financial report for the year and the voting process for the new presidential team began.

Deputy President Joyce Allen took to the stage to host the Awards Ceremony, celebrating the accomplishments and commitment of YFCU members across a wide range of competitions and initiatives. YFCU express their thanks to Lakeland Dairies once again, underlining their dedication to empowering rural youth and fostering leadership through continued investment in community.
