YFCU Annual Swimming Gala Event
The Young Farmers' Club of Ulster (YFCU) successfully hosted their annual Swimming Gala on Saturday 26th September 2026. This event was held in Queen’s University Sports Centre (PEC) and ran from 6:30pm to 9:00pm. With a around 100 members from across Northern Ireland taking part, there was a great level of competition.
Members were split into Male and Female sections, and then three age categories, which were 12-14, 14-18 and Over 18. The competition began with the different heats for the age categories, followed by the finals for the age categories, and then it moved on to the team relay section. Dungiven YFC picked up the David Dunlop Cup for the ‘Best Overall Club’ and Jayden Sproule, Philip Crawford and Lewis Dempsey from Seskinore YFC were awarded first place for the Team Relay. Megan Carruthers (Kilraughts YFC) won the 12-14 female category, Jacob Dale (Dungiven YFC) won the 12-14 male category, Edie Mayne (Ballywalter YFC) won the 14-18 female category, Jayden Sproule (Seskinore YFC) won the 14-18 male category, Lauren Taylor (Ballywalter YFC) won the Over 18 female category and Andrew Molyneux (Donaghadee YFC) won the Over 18 male category.
