This section is designed to help educate and inspire members that hold leadership roles within their Clubs and Counties. Click on each of the titles to read more about the role descriptions.
Club Leaders have the responsibility and accountability for the management of the wider
club activities, including managing risk and upholding the reputation of a youth organisation.

Club Treasurers are ultimately responsible and accountable for the
management of the club finances and are answerable to club members for financial affairs. They make financial decisions, operate online banking and sign cheques on behalf of the club.

County Chairpersons are the face of each County within Northern Ireland. They lead the County team through all aspects of the year, are democratic and ensure that the County remains active within the community and the wider YFCU organisation.

County Treasurers are responsible for the financial wellbeing of the County and are accountable to the staff at Headquarters for the financial affairs of the County. It is their responsibility to ensure the County remains financially strong and active.

Club Secretary
Club Secretaries are organised and take on a number of administrative tasks. They are responsible for the planning of all meetings and the AGM, and for keeping accurate records of all the club’s business, activities and important documents.

Club P.R.Os (Public Relation Officers) are responsible for giving their club a positive public image. This encourages new members to join, sponsors and funders to support club activities and goodwill from the
public and local community when organising events and fundraising activities.

County Secretaries are the backbone of the County teams, they communicate effectively with members and officials, deal with correspondence and record the minutes at every County meeting, feeding back to the rest of the team at all times.

County P.R.Os have the responsibility of creating eye catching content for social media, as well as writing press releases for the local newspapers. They have the power to promote and share updates regarding County plans and activities.
