Thompsons Feeding Innovation continue sponsorship of Tug Of War competition


Young Farmers' Clubs of Ulster are delighted to have Thompsons Feeding Innovation sponsoring their much anticipated 'Tug Of War' competition for another year in a row. The Tug Of War competition is one of the most popular events on the YFCU calendar and consists of three sections: Ladies, Men's Novice and Men's Advanced. With a high volume of spectators gathering around the fence each year, it is an opportunity for YFCU members to showcase their strength and endurance.


Thompsons have been the proud sponsors of the YFCU Tug Of War competition for over ten years and are looking forward to getting back onto the cattle lawn at the Balmoral Show this year. Gordon Donaldson (Thompsons CEO) said "as a company, we appreciate the effort put in by all of the young farmers that make these events a success and how important they are as a means of bringing like-minded young people together. Our sponsorship of the annual Tug Of War competition helps to keep our links close to the future generation of farmers, something that we believe is key to the succession of our industry".
