Special Cup Awards 2021 for YFC Clubs

The YFCU would like to thank all clubs for the hard work and dedication they have put in over the past year. The YFCU have dedicated Special Cups for stock judging, proficiency, recruitment, retention and environment which are awarded to Young Farmers Clubs across Northern Ireland. The newly elected president of YFCU, Peter Alexander announced the Special Cup awards at the YFCU AGM.


The YFCU would like to congratulate Collone, Spa, Annaclone and Magherally Young Farmers Clubs on winning Limavady, E.T. Green and Mullholland Stock Judging cups. The YFCU would like to thank all members for embracing the online stock judging competitions over the last 12 months virtually.



The Limavady Cup for Stock Judging 12-14 years was rewarded to Collone YFC. The E. T. Green Cup for Stock Judging 14-18 years was rewarded to Spa YFC.The Mulholland Cup for Stock Judging 18-30 years was rewarded to Annaclone & Magherally YFC.



The YFCU would like to congratulate Coleraine YFC for winning the Allen Cup and the Joan K Dodds Cup and Gleno Valley YFC for achieving the Ballyvester Cup in proficiency. Proficiency competitions this year including Home Management, Demonstration Presentation, Public Speaking, Floral Art & Ulster Young Farmer.



The Allen Cup for Proficiency Competitions 12-14 years was rewarded to Coleraine YFC. The Joan K Dodds Cup for Proficiency Competitions 14-18 years was rewarded to Coleraine YFC. The Ballyvester Cup for Proficiency Competitions 18-30 years was rewarded to Gleno Valley YFC.


The YFCU would like to congratulate Ballywalter and Garvagh YFC on winning the Alfa Laval Trophy for Recruitment and the Pam Robinson Cup for Retention. This last year has been like no other due to the COVID-19 pandemic and to grow and retain members is massive achievement for all clubs.


The Alfa Laval Cup for Recruitment was rewarded to Ballywalter YFC. The Pam Robinson Cup for Retentionwas rewarded to Garvagh YFC.


The Linda Steele Cup for Environment was rewarded to Randalstown YFC. Randalstown YFC are now the second club to be rewarded the Green Flag Award from Grassroots. The YFCU are extremely proud of the rewarding activities that Randalstown YFC have taken part in to be awarded the Green Flag award.
