Soil Sampling Technician

The new Soil Nutrient Health Scheme (SNHS) was officially launched recently by the DAERA Minister, Edwin Poots. The SNHS is a four year, £45m significant new initiative aimed at improving soil nutrient health and estimating farm carbon stocks, right across Northern Ireland. The scheme will be delivered by AFBI and will see collection of soil samples taken from approximately 700,000 of Northern Ireland’s agricultural fields.

Farm Advisor

Do you have experience of providing farming and conservation advice? Ballinderry Rivers Trust (BRT) is an environmental charity dedicated to the conservation and protection of the Ballinderry River, the western-shore rivers and streams of Lough Neagh and Lough Neagh itself.
BRT focus is on engaging the local community in the protection of the area’s threatened freshwater species and habitats, improving water quality, and educating the public on the importance of a healthy freshwater environment for all.
