Roberta Simmons, President YFCU

Roberta Simmons belongs to Rathfriland YFC and has been a member for 14 years. Roberta is extremly active within YFCU and endeavours to be at the heart of all events from the prestigious Arts Festival to Impromptu Public Speaking. She particularly enjoys the One Act/Three Act plays. At the 2011AGM, Roberta was elected on as Vice President and was chair of the Development Committee from 2010-2011.  She served as Deputy President from 2013-2015 and supported Martyn Blair during his Presidential term.

Beside her Presidential duties, Roberta works in a legal practice. 

Robertas theme for 2015-2016 is "Beyond the Farm Gate" which is all about going 'beyond' in everything you do from club interaction to community interaction and participating in all events within the association which has a wide array of events in the Arts, Sports and Agricultre as well as various other events.

Deputy President, James Speers

James Speers has been a member of Collone YFC since 1999. He joined the Executive Committee at the 2012 AGM and was elected on as Vice President in 2013 and elected as Deputy President at the 2015 AGM. James represented YFCU at the RDP European Conference in Dublin in 2013.

James works as a beef and sheep farmer and is also a Certification Officer with LMC. In his spare time away from YFC, James enjoys football, rugby, travelling and socialising with friends.

Vice President Andrew Little

Andrew Little has been a member of Lisbellaw YFC since 2009.

Andrew has held many office positions including Co Fermanagh Chairman, Lisbellaw YFC secretary, assistant club leader, Co Fermanagh exchange coordinator and Lisbellaw YFC committee member.  

Andrew was elected as Vice President at the 2015 AGM which sees him taking his second term as Vice President. Andrew works full time as a farmer in Co Fermanagh.

Vice President Brooks Allen

Brooks has been a member of Collone YFC since 2006, joining  the Executive Committee in 2013, and  elected as Vice President of the YFCU at the AGM and Conference in April 2015. Brooks has held assistant club leader for 2 years and club leader for a third consecutive year. He has also been Co Armagh Secretary for 3 years as well as Co Support officer for Armagh in  2014/15. Brooks is currently Co Assistant secretary.

Alongside his duties in YFCU Brooks works for NIE (Northern Ireland electricity) as an underground cable jointer and spends his evenings in and around the part time suckler farm on his home farm in Co Armagh.

Brooks enjoys young farmers for the skills and experiences which are invaluable and also for the social and community aspect of the association. 

 

Vice President Zita Blair

 Zita Blair has been a member of Moneymore YFC since 2005. Zita has held the position of club secretary & PRO as well as County Secretary, PRO and Chairperson of Londonderry.

She is currently Club Leader of Moneymore YFC and at the 2015 AGM Zita was elected as Vice President. 

 Zita has been a member of Executive since 2012 and is currently on the Kerry Graduate Programme.
