Members of YFCU are committed to helping others. To celebrate our 80th anniversary we teamed up with the charity Bothar.

Bothar was established in 1991 and raises funds to provide families in developing countries with the gift of a farm animal to establish micro-farming units.

The challenge to YFCU members was to raise funds to send 80 dairy goats to Bothar's projects in Africa as a celebration to mark the 80 years of YFCU.

At the end of its fundraising effort the YFCU raised a staggering £21,761 which will allow Bothar to send over 90 life saving Irish dairy goats to struggling families in the developing world, providing them with food, income and hope.
