Finalists Compete in Ulster Young Farmer Event
The final of the prestigious Ulster Young Farmer of the Year competition, sponsored by Northern Bank, was held at CAFRE, Greenmount Campus on Wednesday 15th February 2012.
Twenty five YFCU finalists were asked a series of questions by local experts on ten sections including finance, countryside management, beef, arable, sheep and dairy.

William Wilson, YFCU President said;
“The Ulster Young Farmer competition plays an important role in developing and recognising our members’ knowledge of farming and we are pleased have the continued support of Northern Bank. Competitors are asked questions on a wide range of subjects, all of which are of great importance to broadening their knowledge of the farming industry in Northern Ireland. I would like to thank Northern Bank, and in particular John Henning for his continued support and dedication in helping with this competition.”

The results and presentation of prizes will take place at the YFCU AGM and conference held on Saturday 21st April 2012 at Armagh City Hotel.
